The founder of the brand D.S. & Durga, David Seth Moltz, has a musical background. Once a vocalist and guitarist touring with bands, he transitioned into the world of perfumery, infusing his musical experiences into his fragrance creations. David pondered that objects, too, have their own scent, much like his guitar amplifier after an intense performance, smelling of hot metallic wires. This imagery is captured in the Radio Bombay perfume, envisioned as a wooden radio made of sandalwood. It sits somewhere on a table in the sweltering Bandra, exuding the aroma of wood and copper wires, and when it catches an Indian wave, it begins to play a melody composed of creamy, coconut, musky, peach, and cedar notes.

Top Notewarms the wooden body like a lamp inside an old radio. It has a slightly resinous scent, with the noble aroma of cedar, while the coppery tones convey the metallic smell of wires.

Heart Notecaptures a wave where Indian music plays. A lively melody resonates with powdery, starchy iris, honeyed-fruity boronia with its sweet floral depth, and the softest, juiciest peach. Sandalwood provides a warm, creamy background that supports the entire composition.

Base Noteevokes the warmth of the radio after a long session, when the melody fades, but the body remains warm. The final chord of the melody is a gentle creamy coconut. Warm ambrette seeds resemble the scent of warm wood from within, resinous-balsamic fir balsam smells like lacquer on old parts, and grey amber with musk conveys a cozy warmth.
