To switch barrels:

1. Turn the TightTwist lock to vertical position. Attach your barrel, then twist the lock clockwise to secure it in place.
2. To create curls and waves with a wand barrel:
3. Always begin with dry, detangled hair. Hold the wand over your head with the tip pointing down. Then, starting from the roots, wrap a 1-2″ section of hair around the barrel.
4. Hold for a few seconds, then slide the wand out to release the curl.
5. For looser curls or waves, tug slightly on the section before allowing it to cool.

To enhance natural curls with the 0.5′ wand barrel:

1. Start with completely dry curls. Wrap inconsistent or frizzy curls around the barrel to refresh and define.
2. For optimal results, style in sections that are no larger than 0.5″
3. Alternate wrapping direction for a more organic look.
4. To create curls and waves with a clip barrel:
5. Always begin with dry, detangled hair. Insert the tip of a 1-2″ section of hair into the clamp and roll the iron upwards toward the scalp.
6. Hold the iron in place until heat has full penetrated the hair section, then open the clamp and gently release the curl.
7. For looser curls or waves, tug slightly on the section before allowing it to cool.
